Myopia

Nearsightedness, also known as myopia, is an eye defect in which you have trouble seeing sharply in the distance.

Farsightedness

You are farsighted when you can’t see objects up close very clearly.

Cylinder deviation

The front of a normally shaped cornea could be imagined as a nice spherical shape.

Presbyopia

Many people over “a certain age” recognize it; unnoticed, you start to hold what you want to read further and further away from you.

Dry eyes

Suffering from dry eyes? This can cause a burning, tiring and even a stinging sensation.

Keratoconus

Keratoconus is caused by a thinning in the cornea. This gives the cornea a pointed (cone) shape.

Irregular corneas

Sometimes there is an irregularity in the cornea. This may be due to eye disease or damage with a sharp object.

Refractive surgery

Refractive surgery is a collective term for surgical procedures on the eye to permanently correct refractive defects (the eye defect).

Refractive defects

In order to see sharply, it is important for the light rays entering your eye to coincide exactly on your retina.
